Oxted Hockey Club and PlayerData unite in an Innovation Partnership

Oxted Hockey are excited to announce our Innovation Partnership with PlayerData, whose GPS athlete tracking technology is already making an impact on the squad’s fitness and performance. 

Edinburgh based PlayerData entered the sports GPS market with their initial offering PlayerData EDGE (Football team GPS) in 2020. They are now looking to optimise for more sports and we are delighted they’ve chosen to put significant resource into hockey. 

Nick Giles, Head Coach Oxted/England Hockey says: ‘We’ve been using PlayerData for a couple of months now and the difference it’s making to our fitness and performance is undeniable. Everyone is keen to improve and PlayerData provides us with a tool to monitor individual athlete metrics, creative a competitive training environment.’

Bob Cowlard, Treasurer added: ‘We did extensive research on the GPS tracking market. We spoke to a number of companies that are offering similar packages but the one thing about PlayerData that really hit us is they were a company that wanted to work with us. There are companies out there that just want to ‘sell’, but PlayerData want to further develop their product, optimising hockey for the market.’
